Research shows that state with such laws that don't require permitting, licensing, and background checks have higher suicide rates. Wisconsin had 874 suicides in 2015. This bill will likely contribute to an increase in those numbers.

Bearing arms is a right, not a privilege. The Right to Carry Act would restore that right while leaving the state permit-to-carry option in place for those who choose to get a license for reciprocity.
