Comments
WiRSA supports this bill. The bill will allow give district's some needed flexibility in filling needed position. We have had concerns with the FORT in the past, because there is no proof that passing the FORT shows that you are good or poor teacher.

Comments
This bill is an attempt to eliminate a standard for those seeking a teacher license. Testing centers accommodate those seeking other certifications i.e. nurses, hygienist, doctors, etc. Teachers need to be held to state standards as well.

Comments
This is an important outcome assessment and licensure requirement of the state, not a college entrance test like the ACT. This bill would allow people who have failed the FORT in the past to reapply for a teaching license and avoid the FORT.
