SWSA supports financial literacy which is already included in state curriculum standards. It unclear how school districts that are already facing teacher supply challenges would be able to meet this proposed mandate.

Comments
WiRSA is in support of financial literacy and supports what is already in the state standards. We oppose this bill because the credit requirement can put an undue burden on our rural schools in regards to staffing, programing and potential costs.

Comments
We are concerned that the bill could impose an unfunded mandate on many school districts. It is unclear how school districts that are already facing teacher supply challenges would be able to find and afford teachers to meet this proposed mandate.
