We see no reason for these rules to be repealed. Hounders use their dogs against wildlife with few restrictions year round and this is the only time that wildlife isn't harassed or attacked.

May 1-June 30 is a critical time for a lot of wildlife in our forests, including ground-nesting birds, elk calves and deer fawns, bear cubs, wolf pups, bobcat kittens, and others. These animals need this quiet period for birthing and raising young.
