The bill as passed allows a pharmacist in effect a veto power over a physician's legally-supplied and necessary prescription. That invades the physician-patient relationship.
Other
Report Date
4/1/2005

Comments
Concern: pharmacists should not be given blanket "veto power" over legitimate, physician-provided prescriptions. Pharmacists with a moral or religious objection should refer the patient to another pharmacist.
