Wisconsin Cervid Farm and Sport Alliance

Wisconsin has a unique system of cervidae farm regulations. The regulations were epically transferred from the DNR to DATCP in 2002. CWD was also discovered in wild ranging whitetails around the same time. Additionally the federal government became engaged in monitoring and regulating cervid operations. This Alliance will attempt to make sure all cervid operations are in compliance with current rules and that the transfer from one department to the other is fully completed without the loss of preexisting operational rights granted by the prior rules and laws.

The Alliance will work on all areas of administrative or legislative laws that could affect the ownership, management and operation of a cervid farm. The Alliance is comprised of both breeding operations and those registered to offer cervid sport shorting on their premises.
