The Wisconsin Freight and Passenger Rail Committee is dedicated to advocating and advancing rail programs and services throughout the State of Wisconsin. The Committee's mission is to provide positive economic impact, produce environmental benefits, improve livability, grow employment and follow the guidelines and best practices of what is known as "One Rail". Our motto will be Rail: Wisconsin's Future Is Riding On It.

The Wisconsin Freight and Passenger Rail Committee will advocate for improving passenger and freight services between interested communities throughout Wisconsin. The Committee values WDOT, organized professional labor, local Commissions dedicated to freight service, planning agencies, public transit advocates, local government and state trade associations dedicated to their interests. We will network with several national partners including environmental organizations. The Committee will support rail bridge improvements, tunnels, port connections, passenger stations, grade crossings and grade separations in hopes of leveraging additional private sector investments.
