Business Or Interest:
We advocate based on our values in response to God's command to love our neighbor. We focus on hunger and nutrition programs for children and adults, antipoverty programs and economic justice for low-income individuals and families. We also address the crisis of human trafficking, environmental issues, and immigration.

Lobbying Interests:
Policies related to the following: Hunger and poverty - We support fair safety nets programs and policies that diminish hunger. Immigration - We seek policies that welcome the stranger and build up fairness in immigration laws/ Climate change and clean water - We are called to care for God's creation and so support renewable energy and fair environmental regulations. Human trafficking - So far we have focussed on anti-sex trafficking laws and that help prevent trafficking and that direct victims to receiving human services. We also support increased human services for youth and adult victims.

We advocate for the decriminalization of youth under 18 caught in prostitution. This is the next natural step in assisting youth to receive needed human services and not being revictimized. We have encouraged legislators to co-sponsor LRB 0568.
