We are concerned that this bill may come with some unforeseen financial consequences, because are understanding is IDEA and Title 1 money could not be used to offset cost incurred. This could become a unfunded mandate as presently written.

Students with dyslexia need to be identified and prescribed the correct treatment within a school district. Currently school districts do not identify or name dyslexia; nor do they prescribe the optimal treatment plan for the students' success.
