OUR PROCESS Uses the science of Mind Genomics to fuel, inspire, and analyze citizen-developed research studies on any/all topics of government. We achieve this through a not-for-profit structure. We provide a subscription-based service for the completion of classification studies that utilize the public forum to cover important issues, create answers, and responses at the local, state, national, and global level. We have introduced a way to run a government that represents the needs of the people - in a way that works! We use easy to understand, robust statistics to reveal the most important elements in the study. We share the results widely in order to generate conversation and provide data where data is needed. We believe in the power of the people to represent themselves in governance - and to elect public officials who will represent them.
Wisconsin Philanthropy Network Business Interest: Wisconsin Philanthropy Network currently has 107 members, seventeen (17) of which are community foundations. WPN receives financial support through membership dues, program sponsorships/grants, and program revenue. WPN is working closely with Wisconsin community foundations for the Endow Wisconsin Initiative. Endow Wisconsin would create an opportunity to hold onto assets in order to help communities grow, change, and be the places where future generations want to live, work, and thrive. This legislation will encourage Wisconsin citizens to invest in their home communities. Those who contribute to the permanent endowments of local community foundations with national certification could receive a tax credit. Providing a tax credit inventive to promote giving to permanent endowments has worked. The Endow Iowa tax credit, in place since 2004, has grown annual giving to permanent endowment in community foundation by more than 200% In recent years, Maryland, North Dakota, and Montana have established similar tax credits. WPN will meet with legislators to compose a legislative bill and to obtain support of this bill. Wisconsin Restaurant Association Business Interest: Wisconsin Restaurant Association is a not-for-profit trade association dedicated to supporting the foodservice industry. WRA membership includes thousands of foodservice businesses representing virtually every size and style of establishment in the state. Restaurateur members include fine dining establishments, mom-and-pop supper clubs, small cafes, fast food outlets, corporate chain restaurants, institutional food service operations, catering businesses and hotel and motel food services, to name a few. In addition to restaurateur and food service operators, WRA has hundreds of Supplier Associate Members that provide goods and services to the restaurant industry. Area Of Interest: The Wisconsin Restaurant Association will work to insure that no new taxes on small businesses are created and maintain equal property tax relief for businesses. WRA will work to maintain the September 1 school start law and an increase in the state budget for tourism promotion. WRA is interested in alcohol blood content and immunity from civil liability for furnishing alcohol. WRA will work to limit new mandates on employers in the area of employee benefits or health insurance and finding a viable solution for more small businesses to offer affordable health insurance to their employees. WRA is interested in workplace issues such as minimum wage, workers' compensation, unemployment compensation, and teen labor laws. WRA will work to protect the integrity of the restaurant industry by working for necessary and equitable regulations associated with safe food handling. WRA will work for utility deregulation to effect small businesses positively.
