Business Or Interest: WCRIS seeks equitable access to educational opportunities; ensures that public policies advance fairness and justice for our students; defends the right of K-12 parents to select the best educational option for their children; defends the right of religious and independent K-12 schools to pursue their unique missions; facilitates communication and collaboration between our member schools, their leaders, policy makers and state agencies, and the communities we serve; provides leadership training opportunities for private school staff and facilitates opportunities to celebrate educational quality in private K-12 schools.
Lobbying Interests: All K-12 education policies that effect religious and independent schools, their students, staff, parents, and leadership councils and sponsoring entities. Issues include, but are not limited to: student transportation; school safety; education funding; teacher licensure; school vaccinations; private school governance, and the general freedom to operate based on our schools unique and diverse missions.
